Trip starts Nov 9
Join YIVO for its first-ever tour of Israel where we will learn the fascinating story of Yiddish culture in the Jewish state. Led by noted historian Dr. Samuel Kassow, the program will include visits to major Yiddish cultural organizations, lectures on Yiddish writers, and performances of Yiddish music, as well as tours of the new National Library, the ANU Museum of the Jewish People, Yad Vashem, and Kibbutz Lokhamei Ha-Getaot, founded by veterans of the ghetto uprisings. There will also be a trip to the Nova Music Festival site, where we will pay our respects to the victims of October 7.
The tour will be chaired by Irene Pletka, vice-chair of the YIVO Board of Directors.
